Exquisite Pottery

    126 pottery artifacts and more than 800,000 pottery fragments were unearthed at the site. The red-brown pottery pieces with printed geometric patterns are one of the most significant features of Shihsanhang, showing the superb level of manufacturing. Petrographic analysis shows that the mainstream red-brown pottery pieces found at the Shisanhang site are made from local materials. The people probably sourced the clay from around Guanyin Mountain and created various patterns after shaping by employing natural materials and techniques such as impressing and embossing.

遺址出土126件陶器和80多萬件陶片。表面印有幾何紋圖案的紅褐色陶片是十三行重要的文化特色之一，顯示高超的製作水準。

陶片岩相分析結果顯示，十三行遺址主流的紅褐色陶片是用在地原料製作。十三行人可能從觀音山周圍取得陶土，塑形後運用各種自然素材及拍印、壓印等技法，在陶器表面做出多樣紋飾。
