Shihsanhang Burial
287 graves were unearthed at the Shihsanhang archaeological site. Most of the remains were on their sides with bent limbs, with their faces facing southwest (the direction of the sea). Graves were mostly found outside the pillar holes. It is speculated that people of Shihsanhang buried dead relatives outdoor near their homes. Since no coffins were found in the unearthed graves, and most of the graves were not easily visible, it is speculated that people of Shihsanhang directly placed the dead into the dug holes.
