In Front of the Experience Room
The demonstration area includes an interactive archaeological exploration pit, a visitor center, an experience room and a magic archaeological sandpit as part of the effort to transform archaeological education into environmental education. The interactive archaeological exploration pit is designed for archaeological education, and also serves a place to play for children. The raised mound at the back of the exploration pit is designed with the concept of a windbreak forest to serve as a shield from the northeast monsoon; the surface has the texture of the land back at the time.
There is visitor center in the experience room. In addition to providing information, visitors can watch film clips or read books about archaeology here. A lactation room is also available.
Next to the experience room, the popular “Magic Archaeological Sandpit” combines technology, art and archaeological education through the sandpit and cultural layers. The result is an archaeological theater that allows you to learn about the lives of Shihsanhang people during the rescue process of ancient cultural relics.
教育演示區包括考古互動探坑、遊客中心、學習體驗室和魔幻考古沙坑，是考古教學轉化為環境教育的一環。
考古互動探坑是為考古教學而設計，除教學使用，也作為兒童遊憩的沙坑。探坑後側拉高的土堆設計是採用防風林的概念，以阻擋東北季風吹襲，地表則整合出接近當時的土地質感。
學習體驗室設有遊客中心，除了諮詢服務，觀眾可在此觀看考古相關影片或閱覽考古相關書籍，另有哺集乳室，提供友善服務。
學習體驗室旁邊是廣受喜愛的「魔幻考古沙坑」，透過沙坑及文化層，結合科技藝術和考古教育，打造虛實交錯的考古劇場，可於搶救古文物過程，了解十三行人的生活。
